'VINCY RIGHTS'

This is the name that people give to our organization - The Human Rights Association of St. Vincent and the Grenadines (SVG-HRA). It is a good name because it also means that all Vincentians have rights. The name Vincy Rights tells us that each and every Vincentian or Vincy has a set of Rights which belong to him or her by law. And so, when call our bulletin VINCY RIGHTS, we are declaring that we must identify all the Rights of our Vincentian people, and we must protect them, and promote them.

Our Bulletin will serve as a means of sharing information among all of us who are in this network of human being. The bulletin will contain news of what the Human Rights Association is doing, our recent releases, educational radio addresses, and other news on human rights matters, internationally. Our Bulletin is also open to receive your views and experience on Human Rights issues. The publication of our bulletin is one further contribution in St. Vincent and the Grenadines to the world wide expression geared to informing and educating people about their rights and fundamental freedoms.

We in St. Vincent and the Grenadines Human Rights Association are concerned with peoples' rights, whether they are babies just born into the world, or senior citizens in the twilight of their lives, and all other persons in between. We hold out a special hand to the poor and the under-privileged, who may have been suffering in silence, because they do not have the means and the know-how to fight and redress the wrongs they suffer from time to time.

We invite our countrymen and women who are interested in Justice, Freedom and Equal Rights for all - regardless of sex, race, colour, religion, political opinion or status - to join in this tremendous work for the betterment of Vincentians and the Vincentian Society.
